I got tired of all the tutorials on YouTube that assumed you have a fully loaded workshop with table saws, drill presses, router tables, and access to gorgeous hardwoods to make studio furniture. In this video the only need an electric drill and circular saw, and technically you could get away with a handsaw if you can cut straight enough.

The rack is all designed for easily obtainable supplies in metric dimensions (which we use in Australia where I’m from). You can head to your local home supply shop (Bunnings/Mitre10/Home/wherever) and pick up a 1200mm length each of 235 x 19mm and 184 x 19mm and be set to make this rack with only _FOUR_ cuts. If you decided you want to make your own rack rails, 1m length of 20 x 20 x 3mm aluminium angle strip.

50 & 20mm screws, some 25mm corner brackets and a few rubber furniture feet will complete the shopping list. I leave the choice of finish up to you.

If you make one, link to it in the comments below.

Thanks for watching.
